Bumble Bees
Ages 3 years 4 months to about 4 years 3 months
Class Description
Our goal in Bumble Bees is to stimulate and nurture the growth and development of our children. We will accomplish that by challenging the children spiritually as well as academically using Cait's and Sonlight Christian curriculums.
Each morning we will read a Bible story. Then spend time learning our Bible memory verse and discussing the Bible story. Academically we will learn math, science, phonics, and handwriting with the aide of Cait's. Literatire and Language arts is covered in Sonlight.
For Math, the children will learn shapes, sizes, opposites, and number concepts. We will play fun and easy addition and subtraction games in preparation for Honey Bees.
For Science, the children will do several fun workbooks such as whether, seasons, senses, transportation, and safety.
In Handwriting and Phonics we will use 1 letter each week. During that week the children will learn how to recognize that letter in both upper and lower case, the sound it makes, and how to write that letter. They will also practice writing and recognizing their own names.
We use the Sonlight Curriculum for Literature and Language arts. Each day we will read a couple stories and nursery rhymes. For Language the children will do games and worksheets to encourage and develop their interest in learning.

- To develop social skills and to prepare and challenge them academically all while giving them a foundation in Christianity and a desire to excel.
